The Amalgam Blues

Many dentists and scientists take the more serious approach when warning people about the dangers of the mercury element used in amalgam fillings. With so much information surrounding ‘silver’ mercury fillings and the many studies available, it’s impossible to relay all of the data that’s now available in only one blog post.

Using an entertaining approach to peak curiosity for serious matters helps to reach others who shy away from health talks or younger generations who don’t yet have the attention span to read through entire reports.

Because of this, there are some individuals who feel it’s important to also add entertainment to help increase awareness like this youthful, looking dentist, featured in the video below.

By mixing up the daily and sometimes upsetting reports with a jazzy musical number, a different light helps to bring awareness to the risks associated with dental amalgams – enjoy!

Songs are known for helping to retain factual information and with this catchy tune, you might even find yourself singing along!

Headaches: Where Do They Come From?

Recently Dr Cary Fraser attended a course in Milwaukee Wisconsin at the Bioresearch Centre with Dr Steven Olmos to further his extensive knowledge on how best to treat patients dealing with headaches, jaw pain , head, neck and back pain.

Using a holistic approach at Bay Dental and Orthodontics, we are having great success treating patients with chronic pain and discomfort, many who have been elsewhere for treatment but could not find relief from their pain and discomfort.

Even though we can’t promise to cure everyone’s suffering, we do our very best to find the most advanced technologies and techniques that are proven and tested to work.

One such approach that comes as a surprise to dental patients is the unique approach of using the Autonomic Nervous System to help determine where the true source of the problem. In some cases all that’s needed is a 12 week program of painless Splint Therapy.

In other cases, physical therapies might needed to complement the splint therapy which might include seeing a Chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Osteopath, Accupuncturist, Massage Therapist, Nutritionist, or Holistic GP. If you’re suffering and in pain, we’d like to help locate the source of the pain and then give you a prescriptive and holistic approach to healing to guide you back to optimal health.
